How long have you been in business?
I have been in business for 31 years as a full time opera singer. I have sung at The Metropolitan Opera House, The Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Scottish Opera, Teatro Amazoonas de Opera, The Dallas Opera, The Santa Fe Opera, The Edmonton Opera, The Victoria Opera, The Opera Company of Boston, The Spoletto Festival, L'Opera de Montreal, Opera National du Rhin, The New York City Opera, etc. I have been in business as an Artistic/Executive Director for TRILOGY: AN OPERA COMPANY for eleven years and have produced Emmett Till by Charles Lloyd Jr., Nat Turner, by Michael Raphael, Robeson by Adolphus Hailstork, Treemonisha by Scott Joplin, The Mask in the Mirror by Richard Thompson, Papa Doc by Dorothy Rudd Moore, etc.
What is your primary product or service?
I produce operas and run a festival of serious music.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I am a performing professional and became interested in the world of opera after a semi - pro trip to France as a soloist.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I am a world excepted Bass vocalist and I run an opera company that focuses on the works of Black composers and subject matter relative to the Black experience.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
I have one location and we are always expanding our output.
